PO Software/Systems & eCommerce Question(s) 0 M. Schmid To All, I need your assistance.  Sinclair Community College is researching PO Software & Systems.  Please see the below questions.  Please email your responses asap to mark.schmid@sinclair.edu What would you recommend as a simple, user friendly, PO Software product? 2. What software product or system does your school use for the processing of Purchase Orders? 3. Is it user friendly? 4. Supplier Management System (Supplier Portal) 0 D. Conwell We are looking at finally implementing a supplier management system or supplier portal.  We currently use MS Dynamics for Purchase to Pay so looking for a system that will integrate with Dynamics.  We certainly do not need a cadillac system and will entertain smaller corporations with solutions.  Please respond with the name of your supplier management system and maybe share pros and cons.  This will at least get me started on assessing options.  Thanks!

Contractor Background Checks and Drug Tests 0 T. Update NAEP Board & NAEP staff 0 L. Baessler Hello, I hope all is well with my fellow Great Lakes NAEP members! I want to give you an update on what the NAEP staff and Board of Directors have been working on this year as we approach the coming Fall Regional meeting. The Board of Directors and NAEP have been working on and collaborating with E&I to strengthen our relationship and to facilitate strategies to grow membership.  A subcommittee has met with the board members of E&I to discuss these strategies and improve communication between the two groups.  The NAEP Board feels that we have made significant progress in strengthening this relationship.  E&I Member Relations Executives are working in the field meeting with member institutions and non-member institutions promoting NAEP and its offerings. Sarah Nicewarner has been added to the NAEP staff to work with professional development.  We have already noticed a significant difference in professional development offerings for our members.  Sarah is able to offer 2-3 webinars per month at no additional cost which increases the deliverable to our members.   I personally have already taken advantage of two webinars in recent months. The Board of Directors and the NAEP staff are also working on initiatives to increase membership, looking at ways to create value to our regions and to use NAEP assets such as registration system, banking relationships, web sites, regional calendar, onboarding.... The Board of Directors has tasked a sub-committee to look at starting a revision of the By-Laws to modernize. One last final thought before I close.  We are only as strong as our commitment, participation and engagement to this professional group.  I strongly encourage you to talk to your peer institutions to talk about what you have gained from being a member of NAEP, participate in the annual meeting by volunteering to serve as leaders, volunteer to serve on committees or act on the call for programs, and network and engage with your fellow NAEP members. Business Manager Position 0 L. Baessler Hi all,     I want to share an email from Suahil Housholder regarding a position with Anderson University.  The position has been posted the naepnet.org website but the only applicants that have applied have been outside of the NAEP group.   Suahil would like to generate some interest from her fellow NAEP peers.   Anderson University in search of a Business Manager starting August 1 or sooner.  The position is a mixed bag of purchasing (and cost savings), contract management, risk management, and auxiliary services.  It's been both a rewarding and challenging position that I've enjoyed very much.  On August 1, I will be transferring to the Business Office and will assume the role of Financial Controller.  I've posted the position on the NAEP Careers page, but wanted to bring this to the attention of our Great Lakes members.  The search committee is still looking for qualified applicants.  I hope we have interested applicants from NAEP!   http://www.naepnet.org/networking/apply_now.aspx?view=2&id=434241   Best, Suahil
