Volunteer with NAEP
Form opens on Monday, June 2nd
Are you interested in giving back? Do you feel ready to guide others in their professional journey? Have you wondered what work goes into event planning? If so, NAEP would love to welcome you as one of our dedicated committee volunteers!
Why Volunteer with Us?
As a non-profit association, we are as strong as our volunteers. Volunteering is more than just giving your time, it's about making a real impact and gaining invaluable experiences. Here are a few reasons why you should consider volunteering:
1. Make a Positive Impact
By volunteering with us, you'll be directly contributing to the betterment of our community. Whether it's through supporting our programs, assisting with events, or connecting with members in your region, your efforts will have a tangible effect
on those we serve.
2. Develop New Skills
Volunteering is a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop new skills. You'll gain hands-on experience in various areas such as webinar planning, community outreach, and more. These skills can enhance your resume and open doors to new career opportunities.
3. Build Connections
Becoming a volunteer means becoming part of a vibrant and supportive community. You'll meet like-minded individuals, forge lasting friendships, and expand your professional network. The connections you make here can be both personally and professionally
enriching.
Volunteer Opportunities
We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities so there’s something for everyone! If this is your first-time volunteering, we recommend easing in with 1-2 core committees since there are various sub-committees you will also engage with depending
on your selections.
Awards Committee
Help celebrate excellence in educational procurement! The Awards Committee develops and delivers NAEP’s annual recognition program, honoring outstanding professionals, institutions, volunteers, and partners who make a difference in our community.
Editorial Advisory Committee – Educational Procurement Journal
Shape the voice of the profession by joining the Editorial Advisory Committee. Members contribute to and curate content for the quarterly Educational Procurement Journal, help select themes, write and review articles, and promote the publication
to the broader community.
Education Committee
Support the growth of procurement professionals by identifying and creating relevant learning opportunities. The Education Committee helps develop webinars, source expert presenters, and build resource libraries to meet members’ evolving educational
needs.
EPIC Planning Committee
Be part of the team that brings EPIC to life! This committee plans NAEP’s national annual meeting, selecting themes, building education tracks, reviewing presentations, choosing speakers, and organizing activities, including community service and
networking events.
Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee
Advance a more inclusive and representative profession. The DEI Committee promotes initiatives that foster diversity across institutions and individuals—through programming, resources, and meaningful conversations that build equity and belonging
within NAEP.
Membership Committee
Grow and strengthen the NAEP community. The Membership Committee works to retain and attract members by ensuring that the value of membership is clear, compelling, and aligned with the needs of individuals and institutions as well as conducting
outreach.
