Nancy Tregoe Scholarship for Small Schools
This scholarship provides professional development opportunities for a current Member who has made contributions to NAEP and E&I and is employed at a small school.
Nancy Tregoe served as the Director of Purchasing and Administrative Services for Lafayette College for more than 25 years. Nancy was Past President of the National Association of Educational Buyers and a long-time member of the E&I Board of Directors. Nancy was a very special friend, a devoted colleague and a tireless advocate for small school issues.
The Nancy Tregoe Scholarship was created to honor Nancy's legacy and to encourage others to become active in NAEP.
The Applicant shall demonstrate a commitment to NAEP and E&I and an interest in professional growth and development. Ideally, the applicant will be employed at a small school.
William E. Haas Memorial Scholarship
Over 30 years ago William E. Haas, former Procurement Officer at Duke University, spearheaded a campaign for a scholarship fund to help Members attend professional development courses. Professional development helps foster procurement practices that are at the leading edge, and that enable our Membership to continually respond to the changing needs and goals of their universities with strategies that work.
Each NAEP region receives $1,000 yearly for the Haas Scholarship. NAEP members in good standing are eligible to apply for this scholarship from your region. Please contact the officers of your region for an application and criteria.
The NAEP Scholarship Committee, in conjunction with the National Office, oversees the administration and selection of NAEP scholarships.
The committee is also charged with raising funds for all scholarships. Several activities at the Annual Meeting raise funds for these scholarships including raffles at the Annual Meeting.
NAEP relies on the financial generosity of both our vendor community for support of the annual raffle and the NAEP membership for donations to the scholarship fund.
