Travis Ball, Texas A&M University-Commerce, Elected President of the National Board of the National Association of Educational Procurement (NAEP)
The National Association of Educational Procurement (NAEP), the nationwide organization focused on procurement in higher education, has announced the election of Travis Ball, Chief Procurement Officer at Texas A&M University-Commerce, to its Board of Directors. Travis will serve as the NAEP President, for the 2020-2021 program year. Installation of officers took place at a virtual ceremony held on Friday, May 1, 2020.
Travis has worked in Procurement for the past 21 years and at Texas A&M University-Commerce for past 14 years. He has volunteered his time and talents to several procurement-related organizations, including NAEP, over the course of his career. He has served NAEP as Senior Vice President during the 2019-2020 program year and previously in various Board leadership positions. He holds a C.T.C.D certification through the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts and, in 2010, was the recipient of the prestigious NAEP Young Professional in Procurement Award. Travis has presented on multiple procurement topics and served on many industry panel discussions at national and regional events and encourages his staff to do the same.
Celebrating our 100th year in 2021, NAEP's mission is to facilitate the development, exchange, and practice of effective and ethical procurement principles and techniques within higher education and associated communities, through continuing education and networking.
