Commodity Codes tied to State of TX Object Codes

TEXAS ONLY- Is anyone using cross walked commodity codes (NIGP/UNSPSC) between Banner and SciQuest?  Do you have the State of Texas Object Codes tied to your commodity codes for reporting purposes?

Would you be willing to share your experiences of implementation within both systems, best practices, lessons learned?

We have been live in both systems for several years, but chose at the time of implementations not to add commodity codes, mainly due to the time constraints and limited staff resources associated with the projects.  However, we are now being asked to go back and add them to both systems.  We are looking for guidance from someone who has already been thru the process, and can help us avoid any time consuming or costly mistakes that could hinder order processing.

Thanks in advance.
