Neil D. Markee Volunteer of the Year Award

The Neil D. Markee Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes outstanding contributions to volunteerism and engagement with NAEP, including the advancement of higher education through the written or spoken word.

Eligibility

A nominee must be, or have been, an active employee of a current member institution of the National Association of Educational Procurement, not a current member of the association’s Board of Directors and not a recipient of this award in the past 5 years.

A total of one individual can receive this award.

Nomination Criteria

The Nominee shall have exhibited extraordinary voluntary service and commitment to the mission of NAEP. Individual shall have demonstrated dedicated volunteerism through publishing article(s) in the Educational Procurement Journal and through presentations offered at NAEP’s national and regional conferences. Nominee shall meet the following criteria:

• Makes outstanding contributions to the Association through volunteer service.
• Has actively participated in the activities and committees of the Association on both the national and regional levels.
• Has demonstrated exceptional volunteerism through commitment, creativity, collaboration, cooperation, and innovation through written (Educational Procurement Journal) or spoken word (presented a presentation at a national or regional conference).
• Has inspired others to become involved in the Association’s activities and committees due to their own contributions.
