Eddie H. Jackson Supplier Engagement Award

The Eddie H. Jackson Supplier Engagement Award recognizes an institution or individual who has made outstanding contributions to supplier diversity and inclusion initiatives on their campuses and in higher education procurement.

Eligibility:

A nominee must be, or have been, an active employee of a current member institution of the National Association of Educational Procurement, not a current member of the association’s Board of Directors and not a recipient of this award in the past 5 years.

A total of one institutional or individual can receive this award.

Nomination Criteria

Submissions will be evaluated on the following criteria:

Displays a growth in supplier diversity and inclusion efforts on campus.
Connects diverse suppliers to procurement opportunities and contracts.
Promotes supplier diversity at all levels of the organization and on campus.
Has created internal practices which incentivize the use of diverse suppliers.
Has created community outreach programs to connect with small, women-owned, minority, veteran, and historically under-utilized businesses.
