NAEP Announces 2022-2023 National Officers

NAEP Announces 2022-2023 National Officers

The NAEP Board of Directors has elected officers for the 2022-2023 program year.

Kelly Loll Mayorga, C.P.M. 
Chair 
Executive Director of Procurement Services 
Florida International University 
   
Mayorga is currently the Executive Director of Procurement Services for Florida International University, overseeing purchasing, contracts, and the PCard program. FIU is a public top-tier research institution with a student body of over 55,000 and over 10,000 faculty and staff.   

Mayorga has significant experience in Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Process Reengineering with a clear understanding of what it takes to successfully implement change. She has over thirty years’ procurement experience in state and local government, higher education, and consulting.  Mayorga has over twenty-five years in leadership roles, including Knowledge Center Director for the State of Georgia and the Chief Procurement Officer for the State of Florida.  She has implemented major procurement process improvements based on best practices and saved hundreds of millions of dollars for her agencies through strategic sourcing. 

Mayorga has volunteered with many procurement organizations and has received numerous awards for her professional achievements throughout her career. 
   

Allison Canada

Director of Purchasing and Auxiliary Services
Wor-Wic Community College

Allison Canada, CPPO, C.P.M., is the director of purchasing and auxiliary services at Wor-Wic Community College in Maryland.  She is responsible for all procurement and contracting activities, the e-procurement system, travel, and the college’s auxiliary services. Allison is a champion for procurement effectiveness at small schools.  She is passionate about lifelong learning, continuous improvement, and creating opportunities for professional connections.   

Allison has previously served NAEP as the District II Board Director and is a Past President of the DC/MD/VA Region.  She is the recipient of the 2018 Volunteer of the Year Award and has served on the membership advisory council, regional relations committee, and annual program committee.  Canada has presented various topics at district and national NAEP meetings and during Water Cooler Chats.   

Canada is also a member of NIGP, a Past President of the Maryland Association of Community College Procurement Officers, co-chair of the ESMEC Energy Trust, and founder of the Lower Shore Public Procurement Professionals.  She holds a BS and MBA from Salisbury University, is a Certified Public Procurement Officer, and has a life-time certification as a Certified Purchasing Manager from the Institute of Supply Management.  

     

 

Raymond Hsu

Executive Director for UW Procurement Services 
University of Washington
 

Hsu is the Executive Director for UW Procurement Services, an organization responsible for the procure-to-pay life cycle of activities for the University of Washington Academy including vendor onboarding/management, procurement systems support, business diversity/sustainability, strategic sourcing/contracting, payment operations, travel and expense and tier-one customer support.  When asked how he contributes to the success of his institution, Ray often views himself as a "translator" of campus' procurement and contracting requirements, and an aspired trusted advisor to the UW stakeholders.  

Ray is a seasoned participant/contributor in NAEP starting out in 2003 as the former treasurer and then president of the NW Region and in 2016, was elected to be a member of the National Board of Directors representing District VI.  He is also a current member of the NAEP's Emerging Initiatives Committee and has previously engaged in the Professional Development, and Business Diversity committees. Ray was a co-winner of NAEP’s 2016 Professional Perspective Award on the topic of embarking on a journey to plan, develop and execute on a complex Request for Proposal project.  

In addition to his volunteerism within NAEP, Ray also contributes his time to a few other organizations including being a current member of the Amazon Business Customer Advisory Board, and the E&I Strategic Sourcing Advisory Board. Ray holds a BS in Mathematics from the University of Washington and a life-time certification as a Certified Purchasing Manager from the Institute of Supply Management.  

Hsu assumes a vacant At-Large Director position and will serve until the election of new board members in the spring.  He formerly served on the NAEP National Board of Directors as the District VI Board Director from 2017-2019.  

 

 

The 2022-2023 Board of Directors took office on June 8, 2022, during the Annual Meeting.
