This month’s posting is, or could be, a quiz.  Suppose your Chief Business Officer sent a memo to you and to other selected business leaders within the department saying something like this: 

As you know, the institution’s governing board will meet in four weeks.  I’ll be expected to provide input and an action plan on a variety of topics, including the four outlined in the attached article.  As usual, I have more to do than I have time before this meeting and I hope you’ll be able to help me think my way through some of what needs to be done by providing suggestions on how we might deal with any or all four issues.   My administrative assistant has a copy of the Chronicle of Higher Education and, if you would like to read the original related articles, I would be glad to make copies of whatever you need.  In addition, there are other copies of the Chronicle floating around the office and, perhaps, over at the library. I’ll be working on the agenda and my presentations until the meeting.  I hope you will be able to contribute to my input collection effort over the next two weeks.
