About the Search

NAEP’s board president (with BOD consensus), has appointed the NAEP Board President, Nichol Luoma to chair the committee. Search committee membership is composed of no more than twelve representative and diverse stakeholders from the following key stakeholder groups: former national board members, district national board members, regional leadership, NAEP staff, sponsors, business partners, and the general membership.

There are advisory groups to support the search committee; each one chaired by a representative search committee member. The key business partners/sponsors will be NON-VOTING Members.

The search committee, with consultation throughout the process with the advisory groups, will put forward one to two candidates to the board for a vote. There will be a webinar presentation by the finalists to the stakeholders in this group so that feedback can be obtained and submitted to the BOD for consideration.

The goals for milestones are listed under the timeline and org chart section. Please keep in mind the complexity of the search process and this will be fluid and will be updated as needed.

June 20, 2018

Dear Colleagues,

I hope you are enjoying the very beginning of summer. Before some of us go on vacation, I wanted to update you on the search process.
