Annual Meeting: Call for Moderators


NAEP Call for Moderators



The National Association of Educational Procurement (NAEP) is seeking members to moderate educational sessions during the 95th Annual Meeting in San Antonio, TX. Your participation is very valuable to the success of the meeting.

As a moderator, you will play an important roll in ensuring that the conference is a success by attending various sessions, and helping the presenter(s) & participants have a great experience.

Additionally, you'll receive special recognition throughout the conference!


Volunteers interested in moderating a session must be:

  • A current NAEP member (this is optional)
  • Pre-registered for the meeting
  • Comfortable speaking in front of an audience

Key Responsibilities 

  • Make housekeeping announcements at the beginning and end of the session
  • Introduce speakers
  • Keep the session(s) on track with scheduled start and end times
  • Prepare a few questions in advance of the session to facilitate the Q&A period
Moderators will be provided with a script in advance of the meeting.


How Do I Volunteer to Be a Moderator?

If you are planning to attend the meeting and are interested in volunteering as a moderator, please:

  • Complete the online application below by May 6, 2016.
  • Chose up to 3 sessions that you would be willing to moderate (NAEP will try to accommodate your requests. Sessions are subject to change).
  • Notifications will be emailed on or before May 13, 2016.
