Passing of Jerry Robinson
It is with a great deal of sadness that we write to you to inform you of the passing of Jerry Robinson, a former President of our region.

Jerry was a Purchasing Agent for the University of Richmond, and he is greatly missed by all of his colleagues there. He was also well-known to all of us within the National Association of Educational Procurement (NAEP) DC/MD/VA region, where he served with us in many leadership positions, most notably as our region’s President for two terms. We all remember him fondly as unfailingly positive, energetic, kind and helpful person, and also as a strong leader and a devoted mentor.

While Jerry was part of our work family, he also leaves a family of his own, of whom he was always exceedingly proud. We especially keep them in our thoughts and prayers. We invite you to read more at

The NAEP DC/MD/VA leadership team will be working together in the next few weeks to establish a way to honor and uphold the great legacy Jerry has left with us. In particular, Jerry’s volunteering to serve a second term as our President was an act of leadership completely natural to him – one that we will strive to recognize and develop in our membership.

If any members would like to submit suggestions, or if you have photos or memories you would like to share, please email them to Shannon Wampler, DC/MD/VA President, at
