Does your institution and/or state count spend with diverse suppliers lacking third-party certification? Again, they don't hold NMSDC, WBENC, or other certification. They've simply completed a form asserting diverse status.

This has been somewhat of a "discussion" point. Our Economic Engagement folks are dead set against it but many other Sr. Leaders want it. So far our marching orders are to allow for self identification in that it will give a better indicator of true type. We are currently going through a Vendor Clean Up project and we have allowed for the self identification, but in the requested information we have also included areas for local, state and federal information to be included. At least if we have it in the Vendor File I can try to report out.
