NAEP: Membership Matters

Membership in NAEP is a commitment to developing a world-class procurement department. This is not your old procurement association. Membership in your higher education professional trade association demonstrates a commitment to developing the skill sets and job knowledge of your staff team and instituting the resources and best practices that increase the visibility of procurement to your campus business officers.

Procurement has become a strategic function of a higher education institution. Your procurement department membership in NAEP will help get you to where you need to be.

NAEP Collaborates with Other Higher Education Associations

NAEP collaborates with many other higher education associations so that procurement receives the higher profile it deserves. Here are a few of the groups and projects we are working on:

  • NACUBO (National Association of College & University Business Officers): creating a spend analytics benchmark "dashboard" for your Chief Business Officer. This tool will overlay spend data with relevant institutional data.
  • ULSCA (University Logistics and Supply Chain Alliance): NAEP will offer materials management related sessions at our annual meeting
  • NCPPC (National Council for Public Procurement and Contracting): Reviewing the Uniform Guidance changes and making recommendations to OMB. We are also working to change procurement from an "occupation" to a "profession" with the Bureau of Labor & Statistics
