We are currently aware of a hotel scam aimed at exhibitors attending the NAEP 2017 Annual Meeting this March in Reno, NV.

Please do not give out your credit card number or other personal data over the phone to anyone who is claiming to represent NAEP,  Event Producers (formerly MRA Services) or the Peppermill Resort Casino & Spa.

The only ways to reserve a hotel room at the Peppermill hotel for the NAEP 2017 meeting in Reno this March is to call the hotel directly at 866.821.9996 (and mention the NAEP 2017 meeting) or to use this online reservation link.

Though it may not be limited to just this person, here is what we have been able to ascertain so far. The caller claims his name is Jason Brown. The phone number either shows up as “unknown” or as 347-809-6884 (ext 103). If this person or entities contact you, terminate the call immediately.

At this time (November 1, 2016), we are only aware of these scammers contacting exhibitors. We have not been made aware of anyone contacting conference attendees as well, but please keep up your guard.

If you have any questions or concerns please call NAEP at 443.543.5540.
