Strategic sourcing is a collaborative process aligning an organization’s purchasing power with overall value proposition. It improves efficiency and quality with direct impact on bottom line, risk mitigation, and partnership opportunities. Digital procurement solutions are beneficial. Our Speakers

Daryl Hammett Bio- ConnXus COO/Co-Owner

Daryl joined ConnXus as Chief Operations Officer/Co-Owner in early 2014. He is a retired Senior Vice President and General Manager of Sears Optical, N.A., a licensed brand owned and operated by Luxottica Group. This $25.5 billion dollar publicly traded company also owns brands such as, Lenscrafters, Sunglass Hut, Pearle Vision, and Oakley.

In addition, Daryl founded the Peabody Executive Coaching and Performance Management Group in 2012 after 20 years of leading and coaching at the most senior executive levels in Fortune 500, Non-Profits, Start -Ups, Mid and Small organizations. His background consists of a combination of executive leadership in the healthcare, foodservice and retail industries. His experience includes leading multi-functional, multi-site and multi-continent operations teams through record growth, mergers & acquisitions, and change management.

Daryl earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Alcorn State University. He was a member of the International Board of Directors for OneSight®, a non-profit family of charitable vision care programs dedicated to restoring and preserving vision for all those in need. He is now serving on the Greater Cincinnati Board of Directors for the March of Dimes.

Daryl is also a member of the prestigious Young President’s Organization (YPO), an international group of young CEOs and Presidents. He is also a board member for the March of Dimes Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky.


Carrie Hawkins Bio-Director, Strategic Accounts 

Carrie joined ConnXus as an Account Executive in May of 2015. A Proven leader with over 15 years of experience motivating, teaching, and directing students and employees in collegiate athletics, education, and management. Adept at team building, she was honored two times by the University of Cincinnati Track and Field program with the Best Teammate Award along with an award as indoor track and field MVP. Her collegiate honors include Morehead State University Track Outstanding Freshman Award,MSU Women's Track & Field MVP, Phi Kappa Phi Freshman Honoree, MSU Academic Honor Perfect GPA Award, Miss MSU Academic Award, NCAA Leadership Award, UC Dean's List, Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll, Universty of Cincinnati Cross Country, Indoor & Outdoor Track & Field team captain, Student Achievement in Research & Development,USS Academic All-American, Helen M.Fulton Academic Scholarship, and was nominated for the NCAA Woman of the Year.

Adding further testimony to her strength as leader, the UC Athletic Department offered her a position as a strength and conditioning coach to their student-athletes prior to her graduation. During her professional career at UC, both the women’s soccer coach and women’s volleyball coach recognized her ability to inspire excellence as a contributing factor to both programs earning spots in the sweet 16 for the first time in UC history. After retiring from UC in order to raise her children, she established Hawkins Academy and home-schooled as many as seven children in grades K-11. 

Currently, she have been able to apply her unique experience and initiative to directly impact growth as a high performing sales professional.
