Foundation Institute-Course Objectives
This Institute is designed for the individual that is just beginning
his or her, purchasing career that may have 1-3 years of purchasing
experience. The learning track helps the attendee to examine fundamental
purchasing skills, techniques, and practices. They will understand the
stages of the acquisition cycle, examine ethics in professional
relationships, delve into some negotiation strategies, discuss legal
aspects of the procurement processes, explore customer and supplier
characteristics, and hear advice on their personal professional
development. As a result of attending this intense, three-day session
they will immediately become a valued, informed contributor to their
organization with new, current skills and knowledge.
