Bert C. Ahrens Achievement Award

The Bert C. Ahrens Achievement Award is a prestigious award and NAEP’s highest honor. It considers an individual’s contributions to the procurement profession over an extended period of time. It recognizes the recipient’s dedication to the advancement of educational procurement and institutional success. 


Eligibility

A nominee must be, or have been, an active employee of a current member institution of the National Association of Educational Procurement, not a current member of the association’s Board of Directors and not a recipient of this award in the past 5 years.

A total of one individual can receive this award.

 

Nomination Criteria

The nominee shall be recognized for outstanding contributions to NAEP and the procurement profession throughout a lengthy career of service. The nominee will have demonstrated continuing loyalty and dedication to the association and, through this example, provided inspiration to others. The nominee's contributions to strategic procurement will have served to elevate awareness of the procurement profession.

Contributions should meet the following criteria:

  • They are the result of resolved or persistent personal endeavor.
  • The nominee shall have clearly demonstrated a predominant personal effort without which the contributions would not have been made.
  • The result or effect must be pervasive and demonstrably beneficial to the aims and goals of NAEP.
  • The result or effect shall have contributed to the elevation and acknowledgement of the procurement profession in higher education.
